1/29/12 Update: More Cracks in the Gold Plated Global Warming Scam!

see the 12/20/10 and now, the 1/29/2012 updates below- What if hackers got into your university's files for your grades and changed them before final grades were released? They could either flunk you out or have you on the dean's list. That could be very costly. That's the idea behind the "Climategate" scandal, and if this is all true and no governmental policy changes occur, hold on, it's really going to cost you. For the rest of your life.
The news broke with a London Daily Telegraph story of Nov. 21, 2009. Emails among scientists at the University of East Anglia's (that's in England) Climatic Research Unit (CRU) were hacked by a so far unknown hacker, and they reveal a conscious effort to manipulate data and suppress discussion of its validity. Now the CRU supplies environmental data to the IPCC, (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) which was begun by two groups, one part of the UN, back in 1988. Because the IPCC (basically the UN) depends on the CRU for its data, then whatever the scientists at CRU say is extremely influential. The University said the emails appear genuine, and no scientists named in them have disputed that. The hackers so far remain anonymous and in a statement said the documents and code, and what they said, were too big to keep secret. The email files were uploaded to a Russian server and then were spread all over the internet.
Some of the emails discussing environmental data reveal no attempt to be objective. Here's one from November, 1999: "I've just completed Mike's Nature [the science journal] trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie, from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline." (Italics mine, "decline" referring to how global temps have actually gone down ) Did you get that? Hey, where's the objectivity? More of the same tone have come out in the English media. Hmmm .... as of December 5th, 2009, none of the American major media have been reporting on this. Why not? You can find out more by going to websites of the London Daily Telegraph, Drudge Report, Fox News, and others to find more of the damaging emails.
Dr. Phil Jones is the Director of the CRU and has since stepped down temporarily from his post.
But the integrity of the IPCC has been criticized before. From the www.amlibpub.com website: " ' In The Professional Geologist (January 1999) Professor Chris de Frietas wrote: "A hearing in August 1998 on the subject of global warming before the U.S. House Committee...revealed that the IPCC scientific report (Houghton /et al./, 1996 ) was deceptively altered to convey the misleading impression to the public that there is a "discernible human influence on climate" that will lead to catastrophic warming....' "
But the story didn't really begin with hacked CRU emails. More and more people are saying there is ... hang on, now ... no man-made global warming. Did you know that thousands, yes, thousands, of scientists have been saying that? From a July 1, 2008 Environmental and Climate News story, 30,000 scientists have signed a petition saying that if global warming has occurred then it hasn't been caused by man. And as reported in the October 10th, 2009 Christian Science Monitor, "... Five major climate centers around the world agree that average global temperatures have not risen in the past 11 years according to the BBC. In fact, in eight of those years, global average temperatures dipped a tad." From a November 15th, 2007 story found on the www.icecap.us website, John Coleman, a meterologist who founded the Weather Channel, says, global warming is the "greatest scam in history." Hey, wait! Was that discussed in your university classes, or have you heard about this elsewhere?
If you went to a doctor who told you some bad news, then you'd want to verify it by either getting more opinions or seeing if the first doctor's data was correct, right? Shouldn't environmental scientists open their data for debate also? Because what they choose to say helps create costly governmental programs. And guess who pays for them! Yeah, you, and we're talking trillions of dollars over your lifetime.
But now it seems the CRU hasn't opened their data to the public. In fact, they've dumped or deleted it! So says the London Times online edition of Nov. 29, 2009. Quoting from the article, "... Roger Pielke, professor of environmental studies at Colorado University, discovered data had been lost when he asked for original records. 'The CRU is basically saying 'trust us." So much for settling questions and resolving debates with science.''" So now nobody can go back and check their original data! Wow, what a coincidence and how convenient!
So why would anyone claim a fraud to be true? Guess what ... money! According to the www.speak.ca/forum/view website, CRU honcho Dr. Jones has received 55 endowments since 1990 from agencies ranging from the U.S. Department of Energy to NATO, worth a total of £13,718,547, or approximately $22.6 million. And several news stories in the last two or three years have detailed how much Global Warming High Priest Al Gore would make in investing in environmental enterprises if climate agendas pass and succeed.
12/8/09 UPDATE What was science warning us about in the '70's? Global cooling! From the 12/04/09 Forbes.com: "Newsweek fell in line and did a cover issue warning us of global cooling on April 28, 1975. And The New York Times, Aug. 14, 1976, reported "many signs that Earth may be headed for another ice age." OK, you say, that's media. But what did our rational scientists say? In 1974, the National Science Board announced: "During the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade. Judging from the record of the past interglacial ages, the present time of high temperatures should be drawing to an end…leading into the next ice age."
12/20/2010 UPDATE --- The Global Warming Crowd Misses Another Big Prediction: Remember this story from the Independent (from England) March 20, 2000? Author Charles Onians headlined it: "Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past" .....
The story reads "Britain's winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives. Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain's culture, as warmer winters - which scientists are attributing to global climate change - produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event". "Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said. Well, that was then ...
2010 -- Reality says it's still snowing and the world's not getting warmer: Daily Mail Reporter 18th December 2010 -- the headline -- Coldest December since records began as temperatures plummet to minus 10C bringing travel chaos across Britain -- "Swathes of Britain skidded to a halt today as the big freeze returned - grounding flights, closing rail links and leaving traffic at a standstill. And tonight the nation was braced for another 10in of snow and yet more sub-zero temperatures - with no let-up in the bitterly cold weather for at least a month, forecasters have warned. The Arctic conditions are set to last through the Christmas and New Year bank holidays and beyond and as temperatures plummeted to -10c (14f) the Met Office said this December was ‘almost certain’ to become the coldest since records began in 1910." So folks, weather is cyclical and we're still see snow.
Jan. 29, 2012: from the London Daily Mail online, Sunday, Jan. 29th, 2012: NASA and the Univ. of Arizona findings say we're headed for colder temps, not more global warming
"from the Daily Mail: "The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years. The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century.
Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.
Meanwhile, leading climate scientists yesterday told The Mail on Sunday that, after emitting unusually high levels of energy throughout the 20th Century, the sun is now heading towards a ‘grand minimum’ in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food. Solar output goes through 11-year cycles, with high numbers of sunspots seen at their peak.
We are now at what should be the peak of what scientists call ‘Cycle 24’ – which is why last week’s solar storm resulted in sightings of the aurora borealis further south than usual. But sunspot numbers are running at less than half those seen during cycle peaks in the 20th Century.
Analysis by experts at NASA and the University of Arizona – derived from magnetic-field measurements 120,000 miles beneath the sun’s surface – suggest that Cycle 25, whose peak is due in 2022, will be a great deal weaker still."
No doubt this story will be disputed by those scientists depending on the grant money gravy train supporting global warming. But even if you still believe in global warming, you must concede that not all scientists believe in it.
So --If all proposed global warming laws and regulations pass, what's in it for you? Restrictions on what kind of car you drive, the home you live in, recreational activities, and much more. This will all be paid by huge tax increases --all for you! Some of these would be passed by global mandates. And do you realize that means you would thus submit to foreign laws? By the way, have you ever thought about starting a business, buying a home, a boat, getting another degree, or have you ever been faced with helping to support genuinely needy family members? This takes money, money that you decide to spend. But you won't have it if the global warming agendas succeed. If you want to really know what's going on, always ask 1. What's the proven evidence and the whole story, 2. Who makes money from this, and 3. What will it cost me?
This website is to make you think and present the biblical worldview. How does the Bible relate to Global Warming? Read it all the way through and you'll find that God never says we'll run out of resources. From Genesis 1 we read in verse 28 where God is referring to man that He has just made, "... God blessed them; and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth... and in verse 31, 'God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was good...'" God knew back then how much of everything we'd need for today and later. Indeed, God says there's no overpopulation problem. We read in Prov. 14:28 -- "In a multitide of people is a king's glory, but in the dearth of people is a prince's ruin." In other words, countries with many people are prosperous, those with declining populations lose their culture and die out. Much, much more can be said about climate change and overpopulation, but trust God. He knew just how many people would be born and what they'd need.
There is no global warming, but a global warning. That warning comes from God, who controls weather and thus many resources. We read in Psalms 68:6, " ... only the rebellious dwell in a parched land." Check out more about this on the articles entitled "Where is America Today?" on this website.
Response emails are welcome. Agree -- or disagree -- as much as you want. But emails with misspellings or obscenities will be ignored. Sloppy communication is sloppy thinking. And that's too expensive.
