Where Is America Headed, Pt. 3
God desires a personal relationship with us.
God has ordained that people will be governed by what they ultimately desire. Will you desire peace from following God and His ways? Or will you desire further idolatry and rebellion, leading to the death of our nation? Psalm 94: 10 -- "He who chastens the nations, will he not rebuke, even He who teaches man knowledge?"
People of this land, come home to truth and the Source of life.
Many of you have enjoyed the good things of life in America. You may have a healthy family, be making more money now than ever, and have many friends. But you may have noticed occasionally that something is missing. What the world gives you will not last, and part of life is the pain of losing jobs, homes, health, and loved ones. Left by ourselves, what comes after this life? How do we know what's out there, and where are we going?
What you may not have, but then need, is a one-on-one relationship with God. Yes, God can be known in a personal way. He already knows a lot about you. Now, He would like you to know Him.
The Bible tells us there is one God and only one way to Him. Isaiah 43: 10, 11 say, "... Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and there is no savior besides Me." Thousand of faiths in the world offer widely different ways to find their gods. But a loving God would make it simple, like He has, not requiring a certain education, high position in society, or individual physical capabilities to find Him.
Ecclesiastes 3: 11 tell us that God has given everyone a sense of a life to come, but also that we can't figure God out on our own. "He has set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end." Jesus tells us in Luke 10: 22, "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no knows the who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." So all that we truthfully know about God is something God has to reveal to us. If we could figure out God, He wouldn't be God. He'd be something we made up.
